at 5pm pst, 6 mtn, 7 ctl, 8 est
Bruce Margolin has been a practicing criminal lawyer for forty years in the Los Angeles area with special emphasis on marijuana laws.
Sitting in for Julie Rose, is Rebecca Forbes a NC Mom and Activist who wears many hats and works to create Unity in the Cannabis Movement. Rebecca and her daughter are featured in the Exile Nation Project Documentary and she works on the frontlines of activism as the East Coast Director of the American Cannabis Coalition, runs a NC chapter and sits on the Board of Directors for Overgrow the Government who hosts events in Washington DC. She recently co- hosted the Moms for Marijuana Regional Quilt Conference and met with attendees Cheryl Schuman, Beverly Hills Cannabis Club Owner, and optometrist to the Stars, as well as Elvy Musikka, one of the Federal patients receiving marijuana from the Federal Government on a monthly basis, after the hearings this past Tuesday. Rebecca is also the NC advocate for the Cash Hyde Foundation.
Monday Oct. 15th, 2012 Moms for Marijuana and Overgrow the Government unveiled the Cannabis Quilt to the Nation at the base of the Washington Monument. Also unveiled was the Unity panel which will grow as more US and World organizations add their patches to it. The Federal hearings to reschedule cannabis were held the next day, Oct. 16th in which celebrities and grassroots activists united to show support for the ASA (American for Safe Access) vs. DEA case to reschedule Cannabis. We expect it to take months for a decision, but the buzz from the attendees is positive and the Federal judges were attentive and asked many questions in regards to Veterans lack of access and the issue of " Standing". Which will be one of the topics on the show tonight.
